Weekly Highlight: Springtime in Georgetown, DC

Spring is the new Fall

Having moved to the National Capital Region in late Spring of 2018, I really missed out on the peak Spring blooms throughout the city. I always thought of Spring as my least favorite season, but I’m quickly realizing that this is because I’ve never been stationed anywhere that offered such miraculous springtime growth…no offense El Paso.

Fast-forward to 2019 and I’m experiencing the full magic of this season in our nation’s capital, and I gotta say…I think Spring is my favorite season now!

This last week (April 8-12) brought forth the most magnificent blooms that I’ve seen aside from the cherry blossoms. Since I spend much of my free time in Georgetown, I’ve compiled some photos of my favorite front-yard gardens this Spring.

a few honorable mentions…

Stop by this adorable flower shop on 35th & O St. to take a picture for the ‘gram. And grab a coffee across the street at my favorite place!

Don’t miss out on the blooms on campus!
